THE COURT INN MURAL

Bobs friend Mr Harry Walker, landlord of the Court Inn, Durham City commissioned him to produce something that would mark the smoking ban in 2007.
An extraction fan was removed from an exterior wall leaving an aperture 2 feet square which faces towards Durham's Crown Court and Prison.
In the exterior of the aperture, a life sized fibre glass prisoner, gazes forlornly towards the Law Courts.

Inside, a prison officer looks into a cell occupied by a cheeky prisoner who has drawn a Hula hula dancer on his cell door.
The light from above gives the right atmosphere of a cell, and the central seated figure has been positioned at eye level of the seated pub customers so photographs can be taken next to him
