At a Variety Club Charity fund raising event held in Newcastle, England during the late 80s Hollywood actor Charlton Heston was presented with a Bob Olley sculpture (Geordie ) as a momento of his visit to the North East of England and his support for the charity.
Heston's films include Ben Hur, Planet of the Apes, El Cid and The Ten Commandments.
The late Roy Kinnear can be seen to the bottom left of the photograph, he was killed in a horse riding accident during the making of the film, The Three Musketeers, starring Charlton Heston.
