For his support of the charity,  The Variety Club of Great Britain, Sir Bobby was presented with a Bob Olley bronze wall plaque, titled "The Family".
The plaque depicts a typical mining family of the forties, a reminder of his upbringing in his home town of Ashington, Northumberland.
