Face In THe Hat

Dad: “So you know my routine on a morning? I put my hearing aid in, stick my cap on, put my specs on, have a cuppa, watch the news?”

Me: “yeah”

Dad: “Then I go up for a shower and put my cap on the edge of the bath, I’ve put a sticky plaster inside to cover the metal stud, because it scrapes my head.  Then my specs go in, then my hearing aid. I’ve done this every morning for ages, but the other day I looked down and seen this face looking back at me! So every morning after I’ve chucked everything in I see a different expression. He seems quite friendly!”
